The presentation will cover:

• Understanding how to navigate the authorization process to get ABA funded
• Define the role of the ABA provider
• Important questions to ask your ABA provider and the insurance company

Presenter: Rob Haupt, M.S., BCBA
Rob is Vice President of Partnerships at Autism Spectrum Therapies, an agency that provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In his role he has spent the last five years collaborating with parents, teachers, and schools to better understand autism insurance legislation and how to effectively! use insurance coverage. Rob has presented educational workshops on insurance in California, Louisiana, and Washington and has also been a requested speaker for advocacy groups, professional organizations, and state run organization. Rob is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 14 years of experience treating individuals with Development Disabilities. He has received extensive training in ABA methodologies, including Discrete Trial Training, Picture Exchange Communication System, social skills curriculum, functional communication training and self-management. Rob has specialized in creating ABA intervention plans for individuals with autism and training parents and teachers to embed these plans into their daily routines.
