Charles County, “All Of Those Numbers! A Parent’s Guide to Understanding Standardized Test Scores”
February 7 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST
FREE 2-Part Workshop Series for Parents
The IDEA requires parents to give informed consent to the provision of special education and related services. School systems rely upon standardized assessments and other measures that include a lot of numbers—standard scores percentile ranks, words per minute, etc. Parents are at a disadvantage for a variety of reasons, and one of them is that they don’t quite understand the scoring process on these tests.
Participants must attend both sessions. Homework will be given between sessions. Parents are invited to bring the results of their children’s testing to use as a sample as well.
