Parent Cafés are an opportunity to partner with parents in Southern Maryland to help keep their families strong. Successful in a wide range of programs and places where young children or their parents gather, Parent Cafés are an effective family engagement tool and peer-to-peer learning opportunity. The Parent Café model brings parents together for structured, meaningful conversations related to Protective Factors which can help strengthen families, while providing opportunities for relationship building and parent leadership.
As part of the Southern Maryland BRIDGE Project, the Parent Café Facilitator Training Institute provides information and resources to enable you to offer Parent Cafés for parents of children birth through age five, and also qualifies your program to receive FREE resources and financial support for providing Parent Cafés. Strengthening Families Maryland Parent Cafés are
coordinated by Maryland Family Networkand are a Be Strong Families Parent Café model.
