Frederick County, Guiding the Journey: A Transition Training for Parents
September 20, 2017
Presented by the Parents’ Place of Maryland
The transition from school to adulthood for children with special needs can be challenging. It can be difficult to know where to begin or what the priorities should be.
This FREE four session training, which includes the use of Lifecourse Tools, will help parents navigate this process and develop a unique Transition Action Plan for/with their child.
During this training, parents will…
- Gain an understanding of their changing role
- Complete homework individualized to their child
- Develop a customized Transition Action Plan
