Howard County, “BROWN BAG WORKSHOP SERIES – FEEDING ISSUES IN CHILDREN WITH AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS”

This presentation will describe common feeding problems in children with ASD. We will review possible causes of feeding problems and resources for managing these issues. Presented by Dorothy Cook, MS, OTR/L is an occupational therapist at Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital and a primary feeding therapist in the Feeding Disorder Treatment Program. Prior to joining MWPH, she worked at Kennedy Krieger Institute treating primarily children on the autism spectrum. Jillian Murphy, Ph.D. is a psychologist at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital in the Feeding Disorder Treatment Program. She specializes in management of disruptive mealtime behaviors and parent-child mealtime interactions.
