Howard County, Columbia: ‘Facilitating Person-Centered Planning’

Please join us in this 2-day workshop by Patty Cotton, a national expert in Person-Centered Planning for individuals with disabilities.
This two-day workshop is designed to help participants develop the competencies needed to facilitate student and family-directed career, education and life planning. The workshop is highly interactive and incorporates graphic facilitation, experiential learning, and peer support to provide a forum for participants to develop and practice effective group facilitation skills. The curriculum focuses on learning to design creative planning processes, manage group dynamics, and utilize visual mapping tools to help planning teams work in a cooperative and productive manner.
Who should attend?
This course is for individuals who want to develop facilitation skills to support increased or improved group collaboration and creativity for student and family-directed career, education and life planning. It is particularly appropriate for secondary Transition Coordinators, high school Counselors, Case Managers, youth service providers, counseling centers, and others supporting youth during and after the high school years.
