This day-long conference offers parents, caregivers, professionals, and transitioning youth an opportunity to learn about skills and resources needed for successful transition to post-high school employment, education, and independent living! With an expanded menu of 25 workshops designed for families and some specifically for educators and for transitioning youth, the symposium will benefit novices to the process as well as those in need of insight on particular issues. Plenary sessions include Person Centered Descriptions: A Powerful Advocacy Tool and Preparing for Work: What Self Advocates Need to Know.  Breakout sessions include Social Security Benefits, Advocacy, Employment, Mental Health Services, Financial Planning, ABLE Accounts, DDA, Transportation and more.

Youth breakout sessions will explore dating and relationships, self-advocacy, cooking, healthy lifestyles, and  creating a vision for one’s future.
