St. Mary’s County, “Maryland Public Schools Can Now Say “Dyslexia”: What That Means for Students”

September 19, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Please join Laura Schultz, a founding member of Decoding Dyslexia Maryland, and a former member of the National Center on Improving Literacy’s Parent Engagement Board where she helped draft written and online material for parents of students with dyslexia, as she presents and explains the Maryland State Department of Education’s (MSDE) long awaited guidance on dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. This presentation explains how families and teams can use the MSDE Technical Assistance bulletin as guidance to ensure that the specific needs of students with dyslexia and similar difficulties can be addressed.

To register for these free workshops, please contact Susan Shannon at partnersforsuccess@smcps.org.
