Webinar: ‘Open Hands, Open Access: deaf-Blind Learning Modules, East Coast Cohort’ Building Trusted Relationships and Positive Self-Image

FREE WEB BASED TRAINING !!!

 

What:  

The Open Hands Open Access (OHOA) Intervener Learning Modules are a free, online, national resource designed to increase awareness, knowledge, and skills related to intervention for students who have both a vision loss and a hearing loss and are being served in educational settings (ages 3 through 21). The modules were developed by the National Center on Deaf-Blindness (NCDB) and uses an online management system called Moodle.

 

Your hosts will be representatives from the Maryland & DC, Rhode Island, Virginia, and West Virginia Deaf-Blind Projects. You will have opportunities to network with participants and hosts from other states.  After completion of the four modules, you will receive a Certification of Completion from your state project. 

 

Who:  

Paraprofessionals, Classroom Teachers, Teachers of the Blind & Visually Impaired, Teachers of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing, Related Service Providers, SLP’s, Administrators, Interpreters and Family Members. 

 

When:

Registration deadline is Wednesday, January 14, 2015

The kick-off for the second cohort is  Friday, January 16, 2015

The Sensory System, The Brain, and Learning (2/10 – 3/2)

The Role of Interveners in Educational Settings (3/3 – 3/23)
