Erin has spent much of her career helping youth and adults with disabilities get the support they need to live full, independent lives. Most recently, she worked at a Center for Independent Living in Central Maryland, where she helped run programs, brought in funding, and stepped up to lead the organization in a time of transition. Before that, Erin worked with the Maryland Department of Health to make health programs more welcoming and accessible for people with disabilities, and with Service Coordination, where she connected individuals and families to the services that were right for them. Her work has often focused on helping students plan for life after high school, collaborating with school teams, teaching self-advocacy skills, and linking students and families to resources in their communities. Erin knows what it means to navigate life with a disability, and that experience shapes her work. She is passionate about giving people the tools and information they need to build communities where everyone can grow and thrive. Erin holds a Master of Science in Human Services Management & Special Education from McDaniel College, where she earned the Joan Develin Coley Award for Excellence in Service. When she is not working, Erin enjoys hiking trails, spending time with her husband, family, and dogs, reading, traveling, and gardening.
