Kim brings over 17 years of experience spanning Maryland K-12 public schools and the private-sector educational technology industry to her role at The Parents’ Place of Maryland. Her background spans nearly a decade of secondary classroom teaching, virtual learning program management, and facilitating professional development. Throughout her career, Kim has specialized in bridging communication between diverse stakeholders, translating complex policies into actionable goals that foster a supportive learning environment. She holds a Master of Science in Education in Reading & Literacy. Kim’s passion for advocacy is deeply rooted in her lived experience as a mother navigating educational and medical systems, individualized supports, and community resources. Combining her strong background in instructional collaboration with her personal perspective as a parent, she is passionate about helping caregivers understand the IEP process, connect with vital services, and build confident, collaborative partnerships with schools.
