Kris first connected with PPMD through the Baby LEADers program, where he expanded his advocacy skills as a parent of a young child with Autism and ADHD receiving early intervention services. Today, Kris is proud to serve as part of the PPMD team in his role as a Family Engagement Coordinator, bringing his experience full circle. Beyond his work at PPMD, Kris has been a longtime intersectional disability advocate. His work is deeply rooted in allyship and his lived experience as an Autistic individual with multiple disabilities, as a parent, and Child of a Parent with a Mental Illness. Kris has served on various community advisory boards, was selected as a Maryland Arc Partner in Policymaking, and is an Advocacy and Cultural Change Fellow in the Disability Belongs™ Leadership Program for Spring 2026, focusing on disability policy change at all levels. He currently serves on the State Interagency Coordinating Council for Infants and Toddlers, contributing to statewide systems that support young children and families. Kris holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, University College and a Master’s degree in Multidisciplinary Human Services from Capella University, with professional experience spanning the nonprofit sector in a variety of roles to improve access and support for the behavioral health and disability communities. In his free time Kris enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and participating in adaptive sports.
