PPMD's 2025 Expansion

We’re thrilled to share that PPMD has expanded — and we’ve done it to better serve you and your loved ones.

We have received funding from the Maryland Behavioral Health Administration and have received continued funding as Maryland’s Parent Training and Information Center.

No matter you or your loved one’s age or ability, we are here to support you and your loved one through your journey with education, healthcare, and behavioral health challenges.

What does this mean for you?

  • You can work one-on-one with a Family Partner (formally known as Parent Educators) who has walked this road too.
  • You’ll find support and information for special education, health, mental health, substance use, and problem gambling.
  • You’ll have someone in your corner to help you make sense of the options at every stage in your journey for you and your loved one’s life.

Okay so this doesn’t sound that different to you… we get it! That’s because none of our current services are changing. We have just expanded! So what’s new?

We now support families with loved ones impacted by:

  • Substance use disorder
  • Problem gambling
  • Mental health

What is the same? As Maryland’s Parent Training and Information Center, we provide support to families and individuals with disabilities and special healthcare needs.

We are grateful to know you, serve you, and offer care to everyone in your family.
